YARD SALE AND MINI VACATION
A couple weeks ago we had a Yard Sale, our first. Wymount has community yard sales on the first Saturday of every month. I actually had a lot of fun doing it..Jorden watched the kids while I did the sale and I got to meet and talk with lots of people. Also, we earned a little over $100 and went to the ZOO with some of our earnings.
Katy came to visit for a friend's wedding and stayed at our house Thursday night. We played settlers and Katy read some books to Maren and Celiese. It was fun to see her eventhough it was only a short whileHogle Zoo

After we dropped Katy off at the airport made our way to the Zoo! Jorden and I were feeling quite brave considering that the kids had gone to bed a couple of hours later than usual...there were a few times we thought we'd leave, but we were able to overcome cranky obstacles and had a great time afterall.
They had an incredible bird show and at the end the kids were allowed to hand a donation to a bird. Celiese dropped it the first time because she was startled and Maren held the money right out to the bird. Celiese kept holding her arm out hoping a bird would stand on it! It was really cute.

The favorite of the day seemed to be the Giraffes Luke tried to put his leg over the fence and his shoe fell off! Luckily a brave little boy found a stick and retrieved it for us!Yeah
After the zoo we drove to Brigham City, Utah to visit my cousin Michayle and her family. She had a birthday party for her daughter Ginny (Virginia) who turned 1 year. My Aunt Liz, who lives in Arizona, was also visiting and it was fun to see her as well. Michayle had a hotel stay for free voucher that she kindly gave to us and we stayed in a hotel nearby. We went swimming Friday night, had a free breakfast Saturday morning and went swimming again! It was a really nice, enjoyable mini vacation

Looks so fun. I know I could us a mini-vacation.
I am so glad you guys came--it was a lot of fun!
Giraffes are the best animal. I still have my big plastic giraffe dad gave me. That's cool you got the shoe back.
I loved visiting you guys and being able to talk and play settlers. I couldn't believe how biig the kids are I really enjoyed being Aunt Kiki again. Thankx again
haha I was laughing at your comment about braving the zoo with kids that had not had a normal amount of sleep. Every time Brandon and I know we are going anywhere big we try to make sure the kids have the most normal sleep schedule to be fully rested. It ALWAYS backfires. I will have a really crazy morning and then be late with naps or they will get woken up early by something random. Anyway, I loved hearing that because I could just picture it.
