My Mama Fawn (Grandma Bryce)
My Mama Fawn passed away last Wednesday. She is my father's mother and has done so much good here on earth! I look up to her so much for all the trials she struggled and conquered in her life. She always served others. Mama Fawn loved to take her grandkids to parades and invite us for parties. I look at her life and think about how much good she has done and I hope I can carry on her legacy. So many people know her and admire her. I rejoice for her because now she is free of mortal pain and suffering. She has always been such a social outgoing person but after her first stroke, about 5 years ago, she was not the same...she could not speak as she wished and it must have been frustrating for her. I love her and will miss her but know I will see her again someday because of the atonement of Jesus Christ.
Here is a beautiful poem my cousin Michayle told me about. It is awesome.
Gone From My Sight
by Henry Van Dyke
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and startsfor the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone"

Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

I am looking at your family picture and thinking you are soooo beautiful! I love what you wrote about Mama Fawn and I love the awesome picture with her hat. Do you remember the one she would wear to girl's camp with the fake hair glued to it in the back? Never forget! :)

So sorry about your gma, but she was an amazing lady! Girls camp just wouldn't have been the same without her constant smile! What an amazing legacy you come from. And I know you are and will be just as talented and amazing. Your're such a good mom with cute kids!
