The Lord answered my prayers today as I listened to General Confrence. I always enjoy confrence and how it puts oil in my lamp. Boy, was my lamp on empty! I have been struggling with trying to be a mother for 3 children under 3, one being a newborn. I often feel inadequate, tired, worried, frustrated, and depressed. I prayed this week and asked Heavenly Father to help me in this time of my life. This morning my girls were just...well being toddlers...and I just wanted to listen to confrence and feel peace again. After the session a program came on called "You Can Do This." It talked about successful parenting and gave a great website to help parents. This afternoon I heard Elder Ballard's talk about young mothers and I know the Lord inspired him to give this talk for all of us young mothers learning to be parents. It was also comforting to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way! I know the Lord loves us and I am grateful to be a mother. I do have wonderful moments when I feel so blessed and happy that I have 3 beautiful children...and having those moments is worth it!

Thanks for sharing your answered prayer. It's nice to have a Heavenly Father, who cares about our concerns. ps. You posted 3 times. Way to go!!
I can't even imagine how hard you are working just now. You are a hero! I like the reminder Elder Ballard brought out that our children's childhood years are only and eight of our total lives so we should be focussed on them.
I only have 2 close together, but it certainly challenges my self esteem sometimes! I can only imagine how difficult things must be some days for you. Jeremy made me come and sit down and listen to that talk too (we were watching it on the internet, so he just rewound). I almost missed it, because I was busy doing the "mom" thing. :) Your little boy is adorable!
I loved that talk!!! It was my favorite and it made me so proud to be a mother. :) I thought it was funny how he told about the day in church he realized all his wife did and how he said when he watched him cheerios were all over, and he couldn't keep them entertained, etc. :) You are amazing Bethany!! I don't know how you do it with three!! Two is a handful. :) Your kids are so cute and I know you are supermom!! :)
You're right about that talk! I think so many people needed it! I know I was crying tears of gratitude for him being inspired to give that talk! I'm glad it helped you as well! I miss you! Oh, and it was great seeing you last time I was down! You look great!
